A little bit about us

Anchor 1

Hi my name is Louise! I grew up in Hucknall surrounded by many animals from a very young age. Both my parents were huge animal lovers, which truly rubbed off on me. We rescued many cats and dogs. As I got a little older I fell in love with guinea pigs. We also inherited my dads tortoise big Sammy, who joined little Sammy (our tortoise), when my grandparents passed away.

As a teenager I spent many days with my dad on his allotment, helping him with his chickens and ducks. My dad was a keen golfer and one day came across a box of abandoned baby bunny rabbits. Bless him, the animal lover he is, brought them home, where they became part of the family. As a child I also had gerbils and hamsters. Every weekend as a young teenager, my friend and I would head off to Blidworth, where we helped out at a horse riding stables. After leaving school at 16, I started on a YTS scheme working with horses at a private stable in Newstead Abbey.

On moving to Huthwaite in 1994, we rescued a Collie Cross German Shepard (Tess), and a Cocker Spaniel (Toby) who gave us many wonderful memorable years (who have sadly now crossed the rainbow bridge). We adopted a cat who was pregnant (Poppy), who had a singleton (Mia), (who have also now sadly crossed the rainbow bridge). I spent a few years fostering children, but found this too much of an emotional roller coaster.

In 2012 we were introduced into the Bengal breed of cat, and was completely smitten! After doing extensive research into the breed we decided as a family, to go on a exciting journey of breeding quality, happy, healthy kittens, so other people could enjoy this amazing breed. We spent 7 years under the name of Blenheim Bengals (check our Facebook page blenheim.bengals) where we made many wonderful life long friends. As you can imagine many of these babies stole our hearts and didn't leave us. Especially the special ones, such as Renee who's mum rejected her when she was 3 days old, and we hand reared her. Floki who had problems with his back legs. Gino just because we fell madly in love with him, and many more.

A newly found passion of mine is studying animal psychology and behavior, which I find fascinating.

Hi my name is Beth! I'm so grateful to have been raised in a home surrounded by animals. I truly believe a house is not a home without a fur baby!

So growing up I shared my home with two dogs, two cats, two rabbits, and a few guinea pigs. Not forgetting my hamster who I carefully named at 5 years old 'Hammy'. More recently our house is home to the beautiful, exotic Bengal breed.

My other passion is health, fitness and well-being. I am a fully qualified level 2 Gym Instructor, working towards being a Personal Trainer!

I'm super excited to meet all your amazing fur babies, and give them love and care as if they were my own!
